About us

e-bate started as a team of rebate management specialists and software developers at an award-winning IT consultancy. Our team specialised in building bespoke rebate solutions for companies that could not find a solution to fit their needs. 

Rather than re-invent the wheel for each client, we recognised that there was a gap in the market for an intelligent rebate management solution that married end to end management with the clients’ processes.  In 2018, e-bate was born.  Its purpose being to deliver a full end to end SaaS rebate management solution that offers a seamless user experience with intelligent tools to run your rebate program your way.

Zayn Mistry

Business Development Manager

Zayn is the Business Development Manager within the Commercial Team collaborating with both the Customer Success & Implementation Teams to manage both Clients and Prospect relationships.

Zayn is the first point of contact for our Clients and Prospects and offers a wealth of knowledge around e-bate. Having worked in business development for over ten years within a wide variety of industries including Retail, Technology, Education and Financial Services, he understands how important it is to provide a consultative approach to clients to understand their business needs and objectives. And, as e-bate can be configured to suit our client’s needs, this works perfectly!

Not only revolutionising rebate management but winning awards for it too - e-bate has been announced as winner of the 'One To Watch' category in the Network Computing Awards 2020.

e-bate is a proud supporter of Alex’s Wish, a charity set up to eradicate Duchenee Muscular Dystrophy, an aggressive form of Muscular Dystrophy that affects 1 in every 3,500 boys born.

Leanne Bonner-Cooke MBE

Founder and CEO

With a passion for business transformation using innovative software, e-bate Limited was Leanne’s brainchild after seeing the potential for the solution across multiple industries globally.

Prior to launching e-bate, Leanne was founder and CEO for Evolve-IT Consulting Ltd, a software development and consulting business. With a strong and a determined drive for business improvements through technology, Leanne has developed an award-winning business and was awarded an MBE for Services to Women in Business in 2018 as part of the New Year Honours list. With over 20 years’ experience in senior roles in the technology sector, Leanne has also been awarded the title of Businesswoman of the Year, in 2015 and 2017 and has successfully brought business software and services to corporate customers on a global scale.

Leanne lives in Leicestershire with her husband Tom and their two dogs Molly and Lucy. The four of them enjoy long walks in the countryside and holidaying anywhere where there is adventure to be had. Leanne and Tom regularly volunteer as drivers for the Leicestershire and Rutland 4×4 Response unit which operates a support service to the blue light services in times of adverse weather and events.

Sandy Reid

Investment Director

Sandy joined the Mercia Group in 2017, originally in the North of England Team. She has now moved to the Midlands Engine Investment Fund (MEIF) team with responsibility for the East Midlands. This fund focuses on equity investments in early stage opportunities.

Prior to joining Mercia, Sandy had hands-on experience of early-stage companies having founded and worked as CEO of a start-up for eight years. She also has experience of acting as a consultant on spinout formation in the HE sector as well as managing the spinout portfolio at the University of Leicester.

In addition, Sandy has acted as both director and observer on a number of early-stage company boards and holds the Certificate in Company Direction from the Institute of Directors. She has a technical background with a PhD in Chemistry and started her career in corporate research and development.

Mark Hurley

Chair

Mark is an experienced non-executive chair with extensive board experience in SaaS, software and tech companies. 


He has a proven track record of raising venture capital/private equity (in excess of £100m), building businesses, and taking successful and profitable exits.


Mark’s key strengths include: board leadership; sales; exits, mergers and acquisitions; financial management and analysis; governance; fund raising; investor relations; strategic management; licensing.

Louise Stovell

Finance Director

Louise qualified with KPMG Bradford, working mainly with SMEs and providing a broad range of services. She made the transition into the commercial sector first joining John Cotton Ltd, a £60m turnover, family owned home textiles business, where she progressed from Divisional Accountant to Group Financial Controller.

Seeking a more hands on role, she then joined a PE-backed commercial printing business as Finance Director and subsequently took responsibility for daily operational management of the business, leading a management team of six.

Relocation to Leicestershire resulted in a move to FD at Harlequin Fabrics and Wallcoverings, a division of Walker Greenbank plc. At this time, the business was loss making and had substantial debts. Louise was part of the team which first turned Harlequin around, before being promoted to FD of the overall Brands’ business. During her time at WG, the share price moved from a low of 6.75p, to a maximum of 238.75p.

Louise’s true passion has always been for SMEs and start ups and helping them to develop and grow. Sheis excited by the opportunities that her new role as part time FD of e-bate presents.

Craig Broadhead

Chief Technical Officer

Craig is a technology evangelist with 15 years experience in designing and developing high-performance software solutions across a number of industries.

Prior to joining e-bate, Craig worked for the Access Group where he was responsible for the development of their SaaS and On-Premise applications throughout their Financials Management Services division. During his time there he revitalised their approach to Agile development and DevOps, improving both their productivity and quality of their outputs. Craig also spent a large amount of his career working for 5th Dimension (now a Symphony EYC company) where he guided the technical strategy of the business, paving the way for them to move their many space planning applications from On-Premise solutions to SaaS deliverables.

Having joined e-bate as CTO, Craig is responsible for the Product Development team and the long term technological strategy for the company.

Tom Williams

CRO

With a proven track record in the SaaS space, Tom brings over 8 years of experience as Founder of high growth video platform, Voxpopme, achieving ARR of $5.6m with 100% growth YOY, with employee numbers increasing to over 70 across 3 continents. 
 
Joining e-bate in April 2021, Tom leads the Sales and Marketing teams with responsibility for revenue growth, sales models and strategies to achieve evolving business goals. 

Charlotte Clifton

Product Manager

Charlotte is a product leader with extensive experience working with fast past SaaS solutions, understanding the balance required to deliver innovative products that perfectly meet customer requirements.

Previously, Charlotte was Head of Product for the market-leading International Educational SaaS platform. Here she managed a team of talented product owners to build both customer-facing products and complex internal financial systems and content management solutions.

Charlotte joined e-bate in January 2020, managing the product team and working very closely with internal stakeholders, as well as existing and prospective customers to continue to develop a robust rebate management solution for their needs.

Faheem Gani

DevOps Engineer

Faheem has developed a solid career as a Software Engineer, working in the retail and bespoke software space for the past 5 years. 

As a DevOps Engineer at e-bate, Faheem manages and maintains the cloud infrastructure and provides technical support to customers.

When he isn’t busy being a technical genius, Faheem likes the gym, restoring cars and building computers! He also enjoys fixing hardware like laptops and phones. Let’s just say he is an instrumental part of the e-bate tech team!

Duncan Burns

Customer Success Manager

Duncan’s experience prior to e-bate includes 13 years with Travis Perkins as a Commercial Manager with responsibility for managing Supplier and Customer rebates for the largest account in the Plumbing & Heating Division.  He has a detailed knowledge of the commercial negotiation and financial processing of rebates – and the challenges arising from previously managing rebates using spreadsheets.

Prior to his role at e-bate, Duncan worked at e-bate’s sister company Evolve for 4 Years as a Consultant.  He joined e-bate when it was formed in 2018 and has successfully built and deployed bespoke rebate and price management software for large corporations across a number of different industries, including Manufacturing, Pharma and Construction.

He has also supported several clients through large scale ERP replacement projects, specifically around data migration and finance processes.  Duncan has expertise in JDE, SAP and Netsuite.

As e-bate’s Customer Success Manager he leads the team responsible for the customer journey from pre sales, through to onboarding and ongoing support.

Neil Burton

Implementation Manager

Neil is a computing and management graduate from Loughborough University and has over 18 years experience working with clients to deliver digital IT solutions.

A seasoned IT project manager, Prince 2 Practitioner and scrum master qualified, Neil has successfully consulted, scoped and delivered online solutions to organisations ranging from SMEs through to international corporations across various sectors.

At e-bate, Neil manages the implementation team and works closely with internal stakeholders across the business. Neil works with his team to define and manage the full e-bate implementation process, from kick-off workshops to understand client needs, to configuring the e-bate platform to meet those specific requirements and delivering user training and go-live of the system.
