Our client offers water treatment products and services for heating and hot water systems. They have operations in the UK, France, Italy, Germany, the Netherlands, the USA, and a number of Scandinavian, Eastern European and Asian territories.
The Challenge
The challenge for the water treatment product manufacturer was that complex rebates were taking too much time – using spreadsheets was cumbersome and human error was a real issue.
The connection between their finance system and Salesforce was very disjointed, making it difficult for the client to see the data clearly and to report on it effectively. Also, when suppliers purchased products through merchants, the data of that purchase was sent in a different format which meant the client couldn’t filter the data to understand it, and they couldn’t query it as the sale had already passed.
Payment and claim delays were prevalent too due to validation because the finance team were required to break down external PDFs and excel spreadsheets to extract information to re-format and adjust product references, which was a very time-consuming issue that led to regular errors.
The Solution
e-bate was selected to digitise the process and remove all the delays and inefficiencies the client was facing.
e-bate’s calculation engine eliminated risk to ensure fast calculations in real-time with zero human error. The reporting within the e-bate platform gave the client the ability to generate reports in real time instead of working across multiple systems.
This provided invaluable insight that they could apply to impactful business decisions that drive business growth.
Moving to e-bate has facilitated the moving away from managing Trading Agreements in Salesforce which is an expensive solution, additionally, contract support deals can be efficiently managed in e-bate including tracking sales transactions and creating separate terms agreements. Now, as soon as the payment and accrual data hits e-bate, the system automatically validates and highlights any errors which can be checked and corrected.
